And it seems to be the top of the range "High Up!" model in yellow. I still don't understand why anyone would spend $15k in a tiny uncomfortable box of plastic.

because, not actually uncomfortable.

Because they are very comfortable actually, and fun to toss around. They are like driving a Toyota Aygo in fact (so almost like a gocart) :)

Well it is Jezza's cheap car of choice:
What's funny is that I watched this episode last night.

10/10 would drive, because it's not a box of uncomfortable plastic, you're thinking of an old Aveo.

They're comfortable, well-made, good-looking - to my eye, anyway - and very practical, if you want something small. I wouldn't have one - I'd prefer, say, a nineties supermini - but I can more than understand why someone would.

Try to flag them down for a ride to work. Repeat. Repeat again. Ask them for their taxi license number. Laugh your ass off.
(just my opinion about the color...)

They are pretty good, nippy, comfy little cars. I just can't understand why people would buy a VW High-UP over a Skoda Citigo Elegance. The VW with a 1.0 5 speed manual is £11,760 where the Skoda is £10,360. Granted the 1.0 manual is 60ps in the Skoda and 75 in the VW, the other two engines, the 1.0 75ps ASG and 1.0 75ps BlueMotion/Greentech are the same with over £1,300 and £1,500 difference respectively.
HFV has no HFV. But somehow has 2 motorcycles

If they sold them in the USA I'd consider buying one for my wife. Probably A LOT nicer than the Spark which is what we'll probly end up buying her when the time comes.

That is true, they are quite nippy and fun to drive, but when I drove one it was far from comfortable.

Or even a Volvo C30 Turbo, there are so many cooler and nicer cars you can get for 15k

Not what I found when I drove one, but they are fun to drive.

Modern box of plastic? Seriously, rough plastic everywhere.

They are fun to drive, but when I drove one it was far from comfortable. I'd just go with a Volvo C30, so much nicer. Wish we had Skodas here.

Depends on what you compare them with I guess.. Here in Norway they are by far the cheapest cars you can buy that actually offers any comfort at all (unless you buy some old Nissan Bluebird or a Citroën that is).

Because they "must have a NEW car". Sad...because $15k buys a lot of used car.

Exactly.
